War crimes evidence found against 4 Netrakona men
Investigators of International Crimes Tribunal said to have found evidence against four persons from Netrakona over their alleged involvement in crimes during the Liberation War in 1971.
They were ‘involved’ in killing of 22 people, rape of a woman, abduction of four people and arson and looting of 15 houses under Durgapur and Kalmakanda police stations of Netrakona district.
Abdul Hannan Khan and Sanaul Huq, coordinator and co-coordinator of the investigation agency, told this at a press briefing at the agency’s Dhanmondi office today.
The accused are Khalilur Rahman, 72, Azizur Rahman, 65, Ashok Ali, 82, and Shah Newaz, 88. Of them Khalilur Rahman is absconding and the other three are in jail.
