Pistol, bullets seized

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized a pistol, six bullets and two magazines from Birampur upazila of the district yesterday.

Acting on a tip-off, the BGB men conducted a raid at the bordering Monirampur village in the upazila in the morning and seized the firearm, bullets and magazines from a vegetable fieldin the area.

However, none was arrested in this connection, said Lt Col Jahidur Rashid, commanding officer of BGB-29 Battalion.

A case was filed in connection with the incident, said police.
