One killed in B'baria clash
One person was killed and five others injured in a clash between two groups of labourers in Brahmanbaria's Kasba upazila today.
The clash happened at Bahadurpur village under Mulgram union at noon, our Brahmanbaria correspondent reports.
The deceased was Tanvir Mia, 24, son of Solim Mia of the village.
Quoting locals, Lukman Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kasba Police Station, said the clash ensued over a trivial matter between two groups of day labourers.
The enraged labourers even used weapons and after an hour of intense fight, six persons were injured. The villagers took seriously injured Tanvir to Brahmanbaria General Hospital, where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
One of those fighting was arrested in this regard, the OC said.
The deceased's body has been kept at the Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
