Teen sued over rape of minor in Kishoreganj

A teenaged boy was sued today on charge of raping a two-year-old girl of the same village under Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj.

The accused, a 17-year-old SSC examinee of a local school, took the girl to his house in Manikdi village on Saturday evening and raped her, reports our Mymensingh correspondent quoting police.  

Hearing the girl screaming, her family members rushed to the spot and rescued her while the boy fled, said Mohammad Shaheen, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhairab Police Station.

Today, the girl's father filed a case against the boy, who has been on the run since the incident, the OC said.

The victim was admitted to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex for treatment, he added.
