Lightning kills two in Sunamganj

Lightning killed two people in Sunamganj on Wednesday night.

The deceased were Suhel Mia, 23, son of Adrish Mia of Jagannathpur upazila, and Jhalu Mia, 45, son of Monnaf Mia of Dakkhin Sunamganj upazila. They were farmers.

Suhel was standing near his house when he was struck by lightning. Locals took him to Jagannathpur Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared him dead.

Jhalu Mia was hit by lightning he was working on a land at Deor Haor in Dakkhin Sunamganj upazila. Locals took him to Koitok Union Health Centre where the doctor declared him dead.
