Housewife murdered

A housewife was stabbed to death by her husband over a family feud in Bittiachra village under Benapole Port Police Station on Monday. The deceased was identified as Samiran Bibi, 30, wife of Joinal Abedin, and a resident of Bitti Achra village. Apurba Hasan, officer-in-charge Benapole Port Police Station, said Samiran and her husband had an altercation at night over a family matter. At one stage, Joinal stabbed his wife with a sharp weapon. She died on the spot. Joinal Abedin fled the scene. Police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection.
