BCL leader held with Yaba

Police arrested a union level leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League and his wife with 100 Yaba tablets in Sakhipur upazila of the district yesterday. The arrestees are Al Amin Khan, 30, general secretary of Kalia union unit of BCL, and son of Mofassel Khan of Araipara village, and his wife Nasrin Akhter, 25. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided Kachua Bazar in the upazila and arrested the duo with the Yaba. A case was filed against the arrestees under Narcotics Control Act, said Saidul Islam, sub-inspector of Sakhipur Police Station.
