Govt to form commission to trace Bangabandhu killing conspirators
Law Minister Anisul Huq today said the government has agreed in principle to constitute a commission to find out the conspirators behind killing of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her cabinet members will determine an action plan of the commission and select its chairman and members as it will be very important and will discharge important duties, he said.
The law minister revealed the information while talking to reporters after distributing food to more than 150 underprivileged children at Dhaka's Tejgaon Sharkari Shishu Paribar.
The programme was arranged by the law ministry to commemorate the 44th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.
Replying to another question, Minister Huq said the government is trying to bring BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman back to the country to execute his life term imprisonment in August 21 grenade attack case and the sentence in a money laundering case.
The government will continue its effort to bring him back to the country, he added.
