5,990 qualify 36th BCS written test

A total of 5,990 candidates passed the written test of 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations, according to the test result published today.

The results were made public after a meeting this afternoon, Hafizur Rahman, public relations officer of the Public Service Commission, told The Daily Star.

The written tests began in seven divisions across the country from September 1 while the preliminary tests were held on January 8 last year.
