2 killed in Bagerhat clash over paddy harvest

Two people were killed and 10 others injured in a clash over harvesting paddy from a disputed land in Morelganj upazila of Bagerhat this morning.

The deceased are Palash, 32, and Ibrahim, 34, of Sonakhali village in the upazila, reports a correspondent from Bagerhat.

The clash ensued between two groups of Sonakhali villagers around 9:00am, leaving the two dead on the spot, said Rashedul Islam, officer-in-charge of Morelganj Police Station.

The injured people were taken to Morelganj Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
