Covid-19 patient dies in Chattogram

A 65-year-old Covid-19 positive patient died at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chattogram this morning.

The deceased hailed from Saraipara area in the port city and breathed his last at 9:30am today, said MA Hasan, director of BITID.

He was admitted to BITID on April 15 and was detected to be positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, said the director.

With this death, the death toll in Chattogram has risen to five.
