11 packets of yaba tablets found inside corpse

Forensic doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital today found 11 small packets of yaba tablets while conducting an autopsy of man after his sudden death in Kamalapur area of Dhaka.

The deceased, Md Julhas, 35, collapsed after complaining of dizziness in Kamalapur area around 5:30am yesterday.

Locals with the help of police admitted him in a nearby hospital where he died around 11:00am on that very day, Omor Faruk, officer-in-charge (OC) of Motijheel Police Station, told The Daily Star.

His body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy upon suspicion, he said.

While conducting autopsy today, doctors at DMCH found 11 packets of yaba tablets inside the stomach of the body, he added.

In primary investigation, police have found a few drug cases filed against him in his hometown Netrakona, the OC said.
