Woman 'dies of poisoning', family claims murder, in-laws claim suicide

A 25-year-old married woman died of poisoning in Chittagong city early yesterday. 

Taslima, 25, wife of Anwar Hossain, died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital. 

Her family claimed that she was poisoned by her husband and in-laws, however, her in-laws claimed she deliberately took poison to commit suicide.

Deceased's elder sister, Tanzu Akther, said Taslima had a feud with her sister-in-law Tumpa which eventually involved her other in-laws on Saturday evening. The feud started over a remark made about Tumpa by Taslima's family.

An unnatural death case would be filed in this connection and legal actions would be taken according to the post mortem report, said Hathazari police.
