Two hurt in Barisal hospital as loose plaster of ceiling falls

Two people were injured after a chunk of plaster from the ceiling in the X-ray room of Barisal General Hospital fell on them yesterday.
The injured are Jalilur Rahman, 44, X-ray section in-charge, and Rahima Begum, 60, a patient.
Dr Delwar Hossain, resident medical officer of the hospital, said they appealed to the Public Works Department (PWD) several times in the last year to repair the building, established in 1912, but PWD did not take any action yet.
