Teenager killed in Mohammadpur

A teenager has been killed allegedly in the hands of his friends in Mohammadpur’s Shekhertek area in Dhaka.

The deceased was identified as Sajal Hossain, 15, a tailor shop employee and son of one Mukhlesur Rahman who lived in road no. 6 in the same area.

Witnesses said, Sajal went out with his friends Hira, Alamgir, Rasel and Sohel around 8:00pm last night when a dispute broke out between them.

At one point, Hira allegedly attacked Sajal with a hockey stick.

Injured, Sajal was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital and later shifted to National Institute of Neurosciences Hospital, where he succumbed this morning.

Sujit Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Adabor Police Station, four people have been detained over the incident and further investigation was underway to trace the culprit.
