A total of 133 out of 141 Bangladeshi passengers of Dhaka-bound Saudia Airlines plane, which made an emergency landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on Monday, have been brought back home early this morning.
Another regular flight of Saudia Airlines landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4:00am carrying the 133 Bangladeshi nationals, Group Captain Abdullah Al Farooq, director of the airport, told The Daily Star.
On Monday, the Saudia Airlines flight had a malfunction of hydraulic system and subsequent retraction of its nose gear.
The plane sustained considerable damage when its nose sank to the ground while landing on Monday, reported Khaleej Times.
No serious injuries have been reported so far. Medical teams at the airport treated 70 passengers after emergency evacuation of the plane while four others were taken to the health center, according to reports.
There were 10 crew members along with the passengers on board.
