Sadeq Khan's qulkhwani held

The qulkhwani of language movement veteran and noted columnist Sadeq Khan was held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after the Asr prayers yesterday.
As part of the programme, prayer sessions were held seeking eternal peace of his departed soul.
Well-wishers including former foreign affairs minister M Morshed Khan, former adviser to the caretaker government Moinul Hosein, former Red Crescent Society chairman Shahidul Haque Jamal and weekly Holiday editor Syed Kamal Uddin, and family members including his siblings Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon and New Age editorial board Chairman ASM Shahidullah Khan, among others, participated in the prayer session.
Sadeq Khan died at his Baridhara residence in the capital on Monday at the age of 83 and was buried in his father's grave in the Banani graveyard on Tuesday after two namaz-e-janazas.
Born on January 1, 1933, Sadeq Khan was the eldest son of late Justice Abdul Jabbar Khan, a former speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
A recipient of Ekushey Padak, he was the contributing editor at weekly Holiday.
