Obituary

Mahendra Nath Roy, a Language Movement veteran of Dakhkhin Ghanoshyam village in Lalmonirhat, died due to old-age complications yesterday. He was 91.

He was a former assistant teacher of Kaliganj Karim Uddin Public Pilot High School and founder headmaster of Nodi O Jibon Junior High School.

He left behind his wife, two sons and two daughters. His body was criminated in the local crematorium with state honour.
