What’s the barrier?

Awami League lawmaker Mohammad Nasim yesterday in parliament raised question as to why the Road Transport Act is not being executed properly.

Participating in a thanksgiving motion on the president's speech in the House, Nasim demanded full execution of the law immediately.

"Road accident has emerged as a serious problem. We enacted law and formulated guidelines but why aren't those being implemented? What's the barrier?" he asked.

"Why can't we execute the law and who are stopping it? We've to think about it…," he said.

"It [execution of the law] is not only ours but also the demand of people," said Nasim.
