Prof Mafizul Islam new VC of Southeast univ

President Abdul Hamid has appointed Prof AFM Mafizul Islam as the new vice chancellor of Southeast University, said a press release.

He took office yesterday.  

Prior to his appointment, Mafizul was a professor at Institute of Business Administration, Dhaka University; Department of Economics, Chittagong University; and Institute of Bangladesh Studies, Rajshahi University.

He served as adviser to Southeast University’s board of trustees. He has authored more than 50 research publications in various national and international journals.
