Abdul Khaleque, an eminent teacher in Patuakhali, died of a cardiac arrest at Patuakhai General Hospital, aged 70.

He left his wife, two sons and only daughter.

Khaleque served as the head teacher at Lawkathi Sheed Smritee High Cchool in Sadar upazila.

He was the president of Patuakhali Non-government Teachers' Association and senior vice-president for Bangladesh Scout of Patuakhali unit.

He was buried at Patuakhai Muslim Graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza there.
