Indian Air Marshal RD Mathur to arrive Bangladesh today
Air Marshal RD Mathur, AVSM VSM Air Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Indian Air Force, will arrive in Bangladesh on a five-day official visit today.
He will be accompanied by his spouse Shipra Mathur and one delegation member, a press release of the High Commission of India says.
During the visit, Mathur will be meeting various dignitaries of Bangladesh including the chiefs of the country's three defence services and principal staff officer of Armed Forces Division.
The Air Marshal will also visit Bangladesh Air Force Academy and various operational BAF airbases, the press release read.
The visit of the air marshal would help strengthen mutual trust with immediate neighborhood particularly in the field of defence cooperation and will fortify the close and fraternal ties existing between the Air Forces of the two countries, it added.
Air Marshal RD Mathur will leave Dhaka on September 5.
