UP member hacked dead in Sirajganj

A man was hacked to death by miscreants at Saidabad of Sirajganj Sadar upazila Friday.

Monirul Islam, 30, was a member of Rajapur Union Parishad in Belkuchi upazila.

Monirul and his nephew Russel were returning home from Randhuni Bari Bazar around 10:30pm. When they reached the area, miscreants opened fire on them and later stabbed Monirul indiscriminately, leaving him dead, said family and police sources.
