'Mangol Shovajatra' as world heritage to be celebrated today

The Ministry of Cultural Affairs will bring out a colourful procession today celebrating Unesco's recognition of Bangla New Year procession "Mangol Shovajatra" as world heritage.

Unesco recognised the Mangol Shovajatra on Pahela Boishakh as world heritage on November 30, 2016.

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will lead the procession from Shilpakala Academy at 3:00pm that will end at the fine arts faculty at Dhaka University, said a press release.
