Journo Kazi Amanullah passes away

Kazi Amanullah, a staff correspondent of Khulna of the daily New Age, died from a cardiac arrest at a Khulna private hospital yesterday. He was 68. 

Former district correspondent of The Daily Star and a permanent member of Khulna Press Club, Amanullah left behind his wife, a son and three daughters.

He was buried at the city's Tutpara graveyard.

Earlier, Khulna Press Club, Khulna Union of Journalists, and Khulna Metropolitan Union of Journalists paid tribute to him at the press club.

People from all walks of life including the deputy commissioner of Khulna, and the city corporation panel mayor joined the programme.

In his journalism career since 1968, Amanalluh also worked for different local and national newspapers including, the weekly “Hakkatha”, the Daily Tribune as its news editor, and news agency UNB.
