Fugitive convict of murder case arrested after 10yrs
Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) today claimed to have arrested a fugitive convict in a murder case from Dhaka’s Kadamtoli area.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of PBI arrested the convict from Jurain Medical Road under Kadamtoli Police Station around 5:30pm yesterday.
Arrestee Md Kamal Hosen alias Tiktiki Kamal, 36, of Shariatpur district was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment in the case filed in 2009 over the murder of 25-year-old Kabir Hosen, Superintendent of Police Md Bashir Ahmed of PBI told The Daily Star.
Kamal shot Kabir to death on June 17, 2009 in front of Shyambabur Truck Garage on Madrasa Road in Kadamtoli following a dispute over establishing supremacy in the field of extortion, the SI said.
