Firefighter burnt battling blaze

A fireman,Kawsar, 35, suffered burns while fighting fire at a market in Old Dhaka's Shyambazar yesterday.

The fire originated around 6:10pm in a vegetable storehouse at Mitali Market, said police. Eight firefighting  units and local people doused the blaze around 6:45pm. The extent of loss could not be estimated immediately.
