Dismembered parts of woman’s body found in Ctg

Police recovered five dismembered parts of a woman’s body from a dumping ground in Halishahar area of Chittagong city yesterday.

City corporation’s conservancy workers saw the body parts -- a hand, a thigh, waist and head -- lying in a scattered manner at Anandabazar dumping ground and informed police.

The woman, aged around 32, might have been killed elsewhere a week ago, said Sub-Inspector of Bandar Police Station Pranab Kanti Das.

The body parts were sent to morgue for autopsy.
