Ctg HSC examinee 'commits suicide'

An HSC examinee died at a Chittagong hospital early yesterday after she allegedly tried to commit suicide by setting herself on fire the previous night.

Jannat Nur Fahima, 18, of South Burischar area under Hathazari, died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, said CMCH police outpost's Nayek Amir Hossain.

Quoting family members, he said on Tuesday night, Jannat had a fight with her parents over her alleged affair with a boy. Upset, she allegedly set fire to herself using kerosene, he added.
