ATN staff drowns in Hatirjheel

A staff of ATN Television channel drowns in Hatirjheel lake after falling off from Rainbow Bridge-1 .

A staff of ATN Television channel drowned in Hatirjheel lake this afternoon.

Touhid Hossain Banti, receptionist of the privately-owned channel, fell off from Rainbow Bridge-1 around 3:00pm, Shamsul Huda, an official of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters said quoting witnesses.

On information, divers began a search and found him around 3:30pm. He was declared dead when rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

It could not be known how he fell off the bridge.
