Another Ashulia factory fire victim dies

Another worker who suffered burns in Ashulia gas lighter factory fire on November 22 died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early yesterday, raising the death toll to four.

The deceased was Sakina Akter, 20. The body was handed over to her family after an autopsy.

Sakina's father, Rakibul Mandal, a farmer, termed the death “a murder” caused by the negligence of the factory authorities, of what he had heard so far, and demanded punishment for the responsible ones.

At least 26 female workers were injured after the fire broke out at Colour Match BD Ltd in Zirabo.
