Accused found dead in B'baria
An alleged criminal was found dead in a beel (water body) adjacent to Hashimpur bridge in Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria yesterday morning.
Darkhar Police Camp Inspector Ziaul Hoque said the hands and legs of Kamal Hossain Jibon, 35, were tied up and a gag was wrapped around his mouth.
He hailed from Purbo Medda area in Brahmanbaria town.
The family identified the body at the morgue of Sadar hospital morgue where it was taken for an autopsy.
He was an accused in 18 cases -- including drug, arms and robbery -- filed with Sadar Model Police Station, said its Officer-in-Charge Nabir Hossain.
Kamal's uncle Shafar Ali said he had been missing since some unidentified persons called him out of home three days ago.
