8km tailback on Dhaka-Ctg road

An eight-kilometre tailback was created on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway as a truck got stuck on Meghna-Gomati Bridge in Gazaria of Munshiganj yesterday.
Police said the goods-laden truck got stuck on the bridge around 4:00am due to engine failure and created tailbacks on both sides of the bridge.
The truck was removed with a wrecker around 8:30am and vehicular movements came to normalcy after three hours, he added.
