5,371 textbooks recovered

Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) recovered 5,371 government allocated free textbooks from a house in Rahamatganj area of Chittagong city early yesterday.

On information that one Niyamat Ullah Khan was illegally storing textbooks at his residence to sell those in open market, a team of DB men raided the rented flat and recovered the books, said DB officials.

A case was filed accusing Niyamat, who is absconding, in this connection, said DB Inspector Fazlul Quader Chowdhury.
