Rancon opens outlet to sell Suzuki bikes
Rancon Motorbikes yesterday opened a flagship showroom in Dhaka to sell Suzuki motorcycles and bulk up presence of the Japanese brand in the growing market.
Zakia Rouf Chowdhury, executive vice chairman of Rangs Group that owns Rancon Motorbikes, opened the outlet at a programme on Tejgaon-Gulshan Link Road.
On display are five new models -- Gixxer, 110cc Hayate, six-gear GS 150R, auto-gear LETS and Slingshot Plus -- with their prices ranging between Tk 139,950 and Tk 249,950. The bikes are offering mileage of 60-80 kilometres.
Two new models will be added soon, while spares and accessories are also available at the outlet, officials said.
The store is targeting corporate clients who order in bulk. “We are already in touch with a number of corporate clients,” a senior marketing executive said.
Rancon is the only authorised distributor of Suzuki bikes in Bangladesh. It has more than 50 dealers and plans to appoint more in the coming months.
The company, which has set up around 50 service centres across the country, also plans to expand its distribution channel.
The company has established an assembly unit spanning more than 1.5 lakh square feet in Gazipur. The factory complies with all the operating procedures required by Suzuki.
Romo Rouf Chowdhury, managing director of Rangs Group, and Shawn Hakim, chief operating officer of Rancon Motorbikes, were also present at the inauguration.
