Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib railway bridge construction project package WD1 signing ceremony held
Renowned Japanese contractor OTJ - Joint Venture of Obayashi Corporation, TOA Corporation & JFE Engineering Corporation formally signed with AKSID Corporation Limited to start work on the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge Construction Project Package WD1 (Eastern Part of Civil Work).
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge Construction Project is the largest railway bridge in Bangladesh which is located on the Jamuna river. In this project, many foreign, local engineers and staff are involved. It has a target limit of completion within 30 months. Despite this covid situation, the workforce will remain the same for the completion of the project on time.
AKSID Corporation Limited is the subcontractor of this project and is owned by Bangladesh Railway (BR) which is funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Bangladesh Railway (BR) jointly.
