VF Foundation gives $8.3 million grants to 60 global entities

VF Foundation, the private grant-making organisation funded by VF Corporation, one of the world's largest apparel, footwear, and accessories companies, today announced its 2022 grants totalling $8.3 million to 60 global organisations, including a Bangladeshi company.
The grant recipients were selected based on their innovative contributions toward creating a more equitable and sustainable future, according to a press release.
The VF Foundation works to uplift diverse, vulnerable communities around the world, with a particular emphasis on women and girls.
To this end, the foundation supports different organisations such as The Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains (Southeast Asia), Shimmy Technologies, Inc (Bangladesh), and Water Aid (Cambodia) and helps address core obstacles in community development while also supporting lasting economic improvements intended to benefit future generations.
The VF Foundation is also focusing investments on circular and regenerative practices in fashion and apparel, including promising innovations to reduce textile waste, supporting organisations such as Redress (Asia) and Biomimicry Institute (Global), the press release read.
