The Daily Star, Brac among 40 recognised as Superbrands Bangladesh
The Daily Star is among forty brands recognised as Superbrands Bangladesh for 2020-2021.
The other names include the likes of Aamra Companies, Green Delta Insurance, AKS, Igloo Ice Cream, ACI Pure Salt, IPDC Finance, Matador Group, Bashundhara LP Gas, Metlife, Monno Ceramic, Pride Ltd, Beximco Pharmaceuticals, Radio Foorti and Brac. Runner, BRB Cable Industries, Channel i, Shah Cement, Cow Brand Colour Coated Steel, Shanta Holdings, Daraz Bangladesh, Shwapno, DBL Group, Singer Bangladesh, Elite Paint, SMC Condoms, Epyllion Group, Super Board, FOGG, Super Fresh Drinking Water, Rahimafrooz Globatt Batteries, The Palace Luxury Resort, Grameenphone, and Walton.
The brands were given the recognition at a virtual award-giving ceremony today.
Superbrands Bangladesh is a representative of Superbrands Worldwide which is a global arbiter for brands and operates in 90 countries. Launched in 1994, Superbrands has become the most prominent symbol for success for brands.
The Superbrands are selected through a rigorous process involving independent and voluntary panels of experts from a range of backgrounds, known as the Brand Council.
The Superbrands publication for the next two years was also unveiled at the event. The signature publication, which shares stories of each Superbrand, is a coveted book for senior executives in advertising, marketing, brand management and the media.
Addressing the programme, Salman Fazlur Rahman, private sector and investment adviser to the prime minister, said, "This is a recognition that reflects the hard work of all the employees."
Shariful Islam, managing director of Superbrands Bangladesh, said, "A quality brand delivering both from its product and services point of view over a period of time builds trust. A trust that is built over a continuous period builds a Superbrand."
Nazia Andaleeb Preema, Visual Artist, Director and Creative Editor of Bangladesh Brand Forum; Founder of Bangladesh Creative Forum; President, Women in Leadership (WIL) has designed the cover for the Superbrands Bangladesh 2020-21 publication named Visual Dialogue.
