TCB to start selling 3 subsidised goods from tomorrow

The state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling daily essentials at subsidised rates to 1 crore low-income families nationwide from tomorrow.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi is expected to inaugurate the programme at 10:00am in the capital's Badda area, said TCB spokesman Humayun Kabir today.
According to a statement issued by TCB, it will start selling three essentials – sugar, lentil and edible oil – at subsidised rates among one crore card holder beneficiaries across the country.
A card holder can buy a kilogram (kg) of sugar at Tk70 per kg, lentil at Tk70 per kg and soybean oil at Tk110 per litre.
A card holder can buy one kg of sugar, two kgs of lentil and two litres of soybean from the specified dealers' shops or spots, the statement said.
