Govt allows 6 companies to import 6 crore pieces of eggs

The government has allowed six companies to import six crore pieces of eggs.

The decision was made today in an effort to tame the unusual price hike of eggs, according to the commerce ministry.

The companies are Cheese Gallery, Popular Trade Syndicate, M/S Ripa Enterprise, SM Corporation, BDS Corporation, and M/S Joynul Traders.

On September 18, the government permitted four other companies to import four crore pieces of eggs.
