Muhith pays income tax online

Finance Minister AMA Muhith today paid Tk 2,12,611 as income tax through online for the 2016-17 fiscal year against his net asset worth around Tk 1.98 crore.

Muhith told this to journalists at a press briefing in his Secretariat office in Dhaka.

After becoming a minister in 2009, his net income was Tk 1.14 crore, he said adding that a big portion of his income is not under the coverage of tax as it comes from abroad.
