Stocks fall for second day
Bangladesh's stocks fell in the first half today amid a decline in the prices of most of the shares.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), lost 12 points, or 0.20 per cent, to 6,273 at 11:40 am.
Turnover stood at Tk 234 crore.
Of the securities, 25 advanced, 144 declined and 138 remained unchanged.
The Caspi, all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, dropped 43 points, or 0.23 per cent, to 18,543.
Of the issues, 12 rose, 43 retreated and 33 did not see any price swing.
