War criminals won’t be allowed in parliament: Shahjahan Khan

Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan today warned that they would not allow any war criminal in the parliament.

“We want to build the country upholding the spirit of the Liberation War under leadership of our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” Shajahan Khan came up with the warning while addressing a programme at Shahbagh in Dhaka this afternoon.

He also called upon countrymen including young generation to keep watch so that no war criminal can gain victory in the upcoming general election.

Awami League led 14-party grand alliance today launched a 13-day programme by setting up Bijoy Mancha across the country in a bid to garner people’s supports for “Boat” electoral symbol of Awami League.

As part of the campaign, a mancha was also set up at the Shahbagh.

Addressing the inauguration session of the mancha at Shahbagh, Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said the anti-liberation forces are engaged in hatching conspiracy ahead of the polls.

“The upcoming election is very important for us like that of the 1970 as the anti-liberation forces are hatching conspiracy,” Nasim said.

He expected that country’s people would cast vote for boat to give a lesson to the “betrayers” like Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain and Krishok Sramik Janata League President Kader Siddique.
