'Vote for boat, or roads will be destroyed'

Municipality mayor says

Mayor of Laxmipur municipality threatens to destroy roads and drains of the area if people do not cast vote for the Awami League candidate of the constituency.

"Cast your votes properly. I will be at the chairman post for two and a half years more. If 80 percent vote does not come, then my words are clear. Roads will be excavated at night and the drains will be destroyed," Abu Taher said at a rally in the area in front of 200-250 people.

AKM Shahjahan Kamal is the AL nominated candidate with Boat symbol for the constituency Laxmipur-3. He is currently the Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister of the ruling party.

For the last few years Awami League has brought a lot of progress in Laxmipur district, Taher claimed.

That's why he thinks that Al should get 80 percent of the votes, he added.
