Satchhari Forest: BGB recovers 18 rocket shells

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 18 rocket shells during a drive at Satchhari forest in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj.

The drive started Tuesday night and continued till 11:00am yesterday.

On information, the BGB members started an operation in the deep forest of Satchhari National Park on Tuesday evening.

Lt Col SNM Samiunnabi Chowdhury, captain of BGB 55th Battalion, told this correspondent that 18 rocket shells were recovered in the operation inside the forest.

"The ammunition was wrapped in polythene," he said.

Rapid Action Battalion has raided Satchhari area at different times between June 1, 2014, and February 24, 2019, and recovered large amounts of firearms, ammunition, and explosives.
