Pakistan accepts repatriation proposal

NEPALESE MESSAGE TO BANGABANDHU
The prime minister of Nepal Kirtinidhi Bista has sent a message of greetings and good wishes on behalf of his majesty's government to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his government on the historic occasion of the inaugural convening of the Constituent Assembly of Bangladesh.
GOVT PROSECUTORS FOR WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL APPOINTED
The government has appointed SR Pal and Serajul Haque as the chief government prosecutors of the War Crimes Tribunal to try the Pakistani prisoners of war for their atrocities and genocide in Bangladesh.
BHUTTO ACCEPTS INDIA'S OFFER FOR TALKS
Pakistan President ZA Bhutto says today that he has sent his reply to the Indian prime minister's letter dated April 9, 1972, accepting her proposal for a meeting of the emissaries of the two countries to prepare a summit meeting between him and Indira Gandhi.
REPATRIATION ACCEPTED IN PRINCIPLE
The question of repatriation had been accepted in principle by the government of Pakistan, L Marti, head of the International Committee of Red Cross in Bangladesh informed Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abdus Samad Azad on April 11, 1972. The repatriation procedure, including transport and finance, will be worked out soon.

EIGHT NEW MINISTERS SWORN IN
Eight new members are inducted into the Bangladesh Cabinet today. The strength of the Cabinet thus rises to 23.
GO BACK TO PREVIOUS POSTS
The Bangladesh government has directed the officers who were in the employment of central and provincial governments in Bangladesh on March25, 1971 but were later recruited for work under the Bangladesh government at Mujibnagar to go back to the posts they were holding on March25, 1971. It has also been ordered that those who were appointed after March 25, 1971 by the occupation regime to the posts vacated by Mujibnagar appointees should vacate their posts in favour of Mujibnagar appointees.
$6.3M UNUSED UNHCR FUNDS FOR BANGLADESH
The government of India has decided to hand over to the government of Bangladesh 6.3 million US dollars, the amount remaining from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees fund for the relief of Bangladeshis who took shelter in India during Bangladesh's Liberation War.
About 26,000 tonnes of Indian oil will reach within next few days to meet the present shortage in the country.
CANADIAN VACCINE FOR BANGLADESH
The Canadian government is shipping five million doses of small pox vaccine to Bangladesh under a 125,000-dollar grant from the Canadian International Agency.
