Popy beats COVID-19, flutters back with ‘Bhalobashar Projapoti’
National Award winning actor Sadika Parvin Popy is set to return to shooting for her upcoming release Bhalobashar Projapoti after recovering from COVID -19. The film, jointly directed by Raju Alim and Masuma Tani, will hit theatres under the banner of Impress Telefilms.
The actor had tested COVID positive a while ago, and stayed at her residence in Khulna since the country went into isolation in March. "After seven months of isolation, we finally started shooting on September 18 for this film," she says. "I will be playing the role of a doctor, who is also a COVID patient. I have recently recovered from this disease, and hope to blend in my personal experience to make my character more believable."
The actor was offered this role on her birthday this month. "This film came to me as a gift." This is the first time I will be staring the screen with Shipon, and I look forward to an amazing experience after seeing such tough times," she adds.
Popy has already finished shooting for the film Sahoshi Joddha and the dubbing for this production is currently in progress. Her films Kathgorai Saratchandra and Save Life are currently on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
