At the age of 11 Jessica Alba won an acting competition in Beverly Hills, one whose grand prize was free acting classes. She won and soon was taking the first acting classes of her life. Jessica's acting career took off at the early age of 13, when she was cast in “Camp Nowhere” and in “The Secret World of Alex Mack”. When her career started to take off, Alba studied hard and managed to graduate from Claremont High School at age 16. She was actually kidnapped after having received telephone threats during the production of “Flipper”. She was found unharmed in the trunk of a car. Jessica is an avid swimmer and certified scuba diver.
