ACC to grill ex-housing secy on May 20

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday summoned Expatriates' Welfare Secretary Khondaker Showkat Hossain to appear before it on May 20 for grilling him in three graft cases, said Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, media and public relations officer of ACC.
On April 22, ACC filed the cases against Showkat.
According to an ACC probe report, Showkat illegally altered the categories and size of three Rajuk plots allotted to him, his wife Aysha Begum and mother Zakia Amjad, when he was secretary of the housing and public works ministry between 2010 and 2011.
Earlier, ACC interrogated four current and five former Rajuk officials, including former Rajuk chairman Nurul Huda, in the cases.
