ABUSE OF POWER

An ansar man throws a bag full of puffed rice onto the street snatching it from an errant vendor at Shahbagh in the capital yesterday. The security staff, Al Amin, who was supposed to guard a gate of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), suddenly flew into a rage and took up an additional responsibility to clear the footpath from vendors in a quite unsavoury manner.
